Ethics Self Study

The Ethics Self Study is for 3 or 6 North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) Approved Substance Abuse Specific or General Skill Building (your choice) credit hours. If your credential is authorized by the NCSAPPB then the credit hours this course offers will be accepted. Credit hours may also be used for general skill building hours for any professional who is needing hours towards their credential regardless if it's through NCSAPPB or another board/accrediting organization...

After purchasing credit hours you will be redirected to a drop box link to download the materials needed to complete the self study. This link and all of the materials are safe to download and will not damage or harm your computer in anyway. Please download ALL materials.

**PLEASE NOTE** There is no need to download the Dropbox Client Software. The link will open up a web page where a zip file can be downloaded without having to create an account or use software. When reaching the Dropbox page "x" out of the little window that pops up asking to create an account. The .zip file to download is right there and you can click on the blue button that says "download". Make sure to save the .zip file somewhere on your computer that you will be able to find. Also if for some reason you are not redirected to the Dropbox download page please email me at info@dethics.net and I will email you the link.

Also make sure java script on your computer is enabled in order to access the Dropbox page. If you are trying to access the Dropbox link through an agency computer or agency internet connection and are having trouble it might be because your agency has set up certain security features that won't allow you to access file sharing pages like Dropbox and other websites. If this is the case then try accessing the Dropbox link on a personal computer and internet connection. If this does not work contact me and I will email you the necessary files to complete the self study. 

Once materials are downloaded click on the "Instructions" folder first and open up the "Instructions" PDF document to help guide you through the self study. It is important that you read ALL of the instructions document. At the very bottom of the "Instructions" PDF document there will be two links you will need to click on in order to complete the training. The first link is to take the quiz and the second is to fill out the evaluation.

You have as much time as you want/need to complete the self study.  Once completed you are required to submit quiz and evaluation forms via online Google Forms.  A signed certificate with credit hours will then be emailed to you by Dan.

Please note that nothing about the self study is automated, which means the quiz and evaluation must be reviewed and then an email sent with certificate by me (Dan). I try my very best to answer any questions and email out certificates as fast as I can. Depending on time of day it may take up to a business day for my responses.

Other Payment Options:

1. Cash or check through snail mail (takes longer). Please provide email and phone number with payment.

2. PayPal: If you have a PayPal account (with a free PayPal account you can pull money directly from your bank account and send it using email without the buyer or seller being feed).  Please keep in mind many people make the mistake of selecting a payment method that fees the seller, if this happens the customer must make up the difference before receiving download materials and certificate. 

The only way for seller and buyer to avoid fees using this method is if the buyer has a free PayPal account that is linked to their bank account. If buyer chooses to use his/her credit card or any other form of payment other then pulling money directly from their bank account then a fee will be involved and the buyer MUST select the option that will fee them and not the seller (D. Ethics). If D. Ethics is feed then an email will go out to the buyer to make up the difference. Before the buyer clicks on the submit button at the last page in PayPal using this method there will be a summary that shows if fees are tagged on to the total cost of the bill. Buyer MUST look to see if fees have been applied and if so choose to take the fee or not submit payment. PLEASE DO NOT select the option that applies the fee to D. Ethics.
